Portlandia Waterfalls
April 13, 2015
So for Spring Break Lizzy and I decided to visit Portland, Oregon. On our first full day there, we took a tour of the Columbia River Gorge with Ivan Phillipsen from Volcano Lands Nature Tours. Since we tried to plan ahead, we unknowingly booked our tour on Easter Sunday. Incidentally, we were the only two on the tour, but it was all good. Ivan still picked us up from our hotel in his 12 passenger van and we took off for the gorge. We went on a nice hike and saw countless waterfalls. Since Ivan has a PHD in zoology, we were very educated about the plants and wildlife around the gorge. We even ate some native plants.
It wasn't a traditional Easter Sunday, but God's fingerprints were definitely seen and appreciated during our visit through gorge.
