Craig, the High Tide, and the Sunset
On July 8, 2014, Lizzy, Banksy, and I decided to go to Laguna Beach to shoot. I had my Canon 7D and Lizzy had our new Fuji XP70 underwater camera. We take the steps down from Diamond Street and the water is hitting the first few steps from the sand. So we ditch the idea to try the underwater camera because we want to make sure that we can make it back to our car in one piece.
I decided to setup my tripod halfway down the steps so that I wouldn't cry in the event that my gear got into the Pacific. I had the pleasure of being able to get some shots of Craig, who I met at the steps during his evening walk. He was glad that I got the shots because now he has evidence to show his wife that he did indeed go on his evening walk. Update on July 22, 2014: I added black and white versions of each image to compare the moods of the two processes. I'm leaning toward the black and white photos, but Lizzy likes the color.
