Hector
"Hector"
"For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing... So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him."
-2 Corinthians 5:1-2,9
We met Hector on a dirt road behind some industrial buildings. Mervin and Nor were speaking with him just before I took his photo. He shared that his earthly body was failing him; his diabetes is in later stages and he has gangrene on his leg that will be eventually be amputated. His hope while still on earth is to be reunited with his family, but his eternal hope is in seeing the promised land.
Please pray for Hector and those in his community.
